Stroke Forward Life Beyond Disability

Stroke Forward: Life Beyond Disability

You never think it is going to happen to you. One day you are physically fine living your life and planning for tomorrow. Then suddenly, you become a statistic. Thankful that you are a stroke survivor. But now wondering how can I move forward into my destiny with a disability?

Stroke Forward is part of my Doctor of Ministry Dissertation. My destiny seemed uncertain until I realized that I was not alone. There are many stories of how the least likely person achieved above all expectations. There is something in all of us that longs to know that achievement is possible. We have read of characters, both real and fictional, who made a glorious comeback, after life has seemingly defeated them. Something happens and their lives are restored to even greater heights than before calamity struck.

It is my prayer that this book will encourage people with disabilities to move forward to their destiny. Inspire parents, families and caregivers to allow and encourage their love ones reach their potential. Finally, to inspire community and church leaders to utilize people with disabilities in the workforce and in Ministry.

Stroke Forward II: Stepping Into Divine Destiny

Stroke Forward II, is very insightful and helpful, it lets you know that you are not alone. It gives statistical data that provides three facts (1). Disability is a global public health issue (2). Disability is a human right issue and (3). Disability is development priority. So not only will this book give you real time statistics it is sprinkled throughout with Godly inspiration for you to know that God sees you, and now you can step into your divine destiny. He opens doors that no man can shut and shut doors no man can open. The disabled are a nation of people and Jesus said teach all nations, this is Dr. Gainer’s calling in Stepping into Devine Destiny. Remember if God be for you who can be against you! (Romans 8:31)

How to Bounce Back From Life’s Setbacks

This book provides strategies on how to bounce back from life difficult situations. In her chapter Life Beyond Disability: Stroke Survivor, Dr. Gainer provides hope and encouragement. No matter who you are she allows you to see that you were created with a purpose and every one plays a part on this great stage of life. No role is to small nor to large but all are important. The disabled are a nation of people and Jesus said teach all nations. Ethel concludes the chapter with six steps to provide education, support, advocacy and self sufficiency.
